Smart recovery a peer led, peer directed and peer delivered organisation that aims to achieve the UK's goal to develop a UK wide network of meetings run by volunteers who have first hand experience of addiction. Smart Recovery assit in getting meetings running where they are requested and also offer online support and guidance until there is a face to face meeting where you live. The meetings help people gain independence from addictive behaviours (substances or activities) and are run by volunteers who have experienced first hand difficutlies with addiction. The site provides an online forum along with updates of various recovery events around the UK.
